Message from the Director

Dear Friends of the NCCIL,

Greetings from a new character in a new chapter of this delightful, treasured book known as the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature!  I am privileged to be joining the NCCIL team of staff, board members, volunteers, renowned authors and illustrators, and numerous local and national supporters as we turn the pages together to see how this fascinating story develops. 

My background in public education and community health development and promotion, together with a long-standing love of literature and the arts, bring me to this place and time with both experience and passion to move the NCCIL to its next level of excellence.  I look forward to a bright, colorful future and can’t wait to start writing “the rest of the story” with this incredible team.
