"Shape Train"

Based on Freight Train

Materials:
Colored paper, glue, scissors, crayons

Instructions:
Cut several large and small shapes: circles, rectangles, squares, triangles. Start by drawing or cutting and gluing a long line, slightly above the bottom of the paper. This will be your train track. Glue different shapes above the line, leaving space for the train wheels. For example: glue one long rectangle down first close to the right or left edge of the paper, glue a square next to that rectangle (leave a small amount of room between cars), glue another rectangle down. Continue gluing shapes until you have a long train. Add circles for wheels, squares for windows, a smoke stack on the engine, a triangle on the front of the train for a cattle guard, and don’t forget the caboose! Add other windows, smoke, trees, sky, fences, anything you can imagine with crayons.
